Support and Updates

Support and Update Policy:
The WT4I Contest Tools software is written and supported by Bruce Lifter, WT4I. The software license for the suite of tools is sold and distributed, exclusively, by Ron Stailey, K5DJ.

Registered users can download minor revisions and updates from the WT4I Contest Tools web site. Revisions and updates are announced on the WT4I Contest Tools email reflector and on the web site. The frequency of minor revisions is as needed (typically monthly or every other month).

Major revisions will require registered users to pay an upgrade fee for the license upgrade. Major upgrades will typically be released annually. New users who purchase a license within 60 days of a new Major release will be offered a license upgrade, free of charge.

The WT4I Contest Tools email reflector has been established to provide additional support of the product. New users are encouraged to subscribe to the email reflector and ask the general user community for help and support using the product. Reply postings from experienced users are encouraged and appreciated by the author and distributor. (The more user community support is provided, the more time is available by the author to enhance the program and add new contests and features.)

To subscribe to the WT4I Contest Tools email reflector, send an email to imailsrv@ewarg.org. The subject should contain "sub". The body of the message should contain "subscribe cabrillotools CALLSIGN"

For example:

   subscribe cabrillotools WT4I

In addition to the WT4I Contest Tools email reflector, a support email address is provided: support@CabrilloTools.com. The volunteers monitoring the support email account, will respond as they can. It is suggested that for quicker response, post questions to the WT4I Contest Tools reflector. (The support volunteers are monitoring both.)

WT4I Contest Tools was originally designed to make the Contest Manager's job easier. The Contest Tools team wishes to continue this by providing the tool suite to "official" contest managers for free. To get the suite of tools, Contest managers must agree to a few simple conditions.
