| Cabrillo Tools was originally designed to make the Contest Manager's job easier. The Cabrillo Tools team wishes to continue this by providing the tool suite to "official" contest managers for free. Contest managers must agree to a few simple conditions: | |
| Each individual log checker on the team gets their own registered copy and agrees to not distribute the software to anyone. Each user will get a registration code that will work with their own call. The registration code will activate the software only for a single contest (i.e. CQ WW RTTY). If they wish to use the software for other contests, then they should purchase an individual license. The purchased license will give them a registration code that works for all supported contests. | |
| The contest manager agrees to allow advertising the fact that the contest committee used the Cabrillo Tools software to help with official log checking of the contest. | |
| After the contest log checking is complete, the contest committee agrees to provide, to the Cabrillo Tools team, the Master.Cal file built from the actual contest logs. This callsign database will be merged with existing callsign databases for distribution to individual Cabrillo Tools users. | |
| The log checking software is used "as is" and the Cabrillo Tools team are not held liable for any damages as a result of using the software. | |
If you are an Official contest manager or director of a contest and wish to use the Cabrillo Tools for log checking your contest, please contact the Cabrillo Tools author for coordination. While generally not exercised, the Cabrillo tools team reserves the right to exclude any contest. |
